LotR War in the North Barrow Wight walkthrough

The next boss in LotR War in the North is the Barrow Wight. You actually fight these three times that I’ve seen so it isn’t to bad of a fight just annoying. This guide will help you bring it down the next time you fight it. Let’s go!

First for the LotR War in the North Barrow Wight boss guide is his abilities. This is a ranged fight for the first 2/3s then he comes to the ground. Always have a ranged guy hitting him I had my mage do it.

His first ability is summoning minor weights. They are not bad but all you have to do is be sure they stay off the ranged fighter. Burn them down.

His second ability is throwing the rocks at you. He has rocks all around him and he will start throwing them at you. Easy to dodge just roll. Be wary of these as the melee though or you might get hit and they hurt.

Once he is on the ground he can hit you if you get close but it’s easy to avoid.

Now on to the fight part of the LotR War in the North Barrow Wight boss guide. Once this fight commences get the range on him asap. You can get some decent damage in on him before he even summons anything.

Once he summons the weights if you are the melee kill the small guys. If you are the ranged just keep on the boss. After about a third of his health he will teleport then you can burn down all his smaller guys.

After the teleport he will reappear and you can start doing damage to him. He will likely throw a rock this time which is easily dodged. Keep on him until he summons the guys. Once he does kill the minions and the range should burn him down to the last third of his hp.

Now he will come to melee range. Once you see him appear just rush him and start doing max damage. If you are fast enough he will be dead before he can attack. If not then just avoid his attacks.

    Hey Johnny thanks, they finally patched the game on OnLive and was able to proceed. Someone really screwed up, there not even a chest under that statue until after the patch! Several other treasure locations missing too. I guess I’m foolish in assuming quality control in game publishing, being a developer myself. That would have been found easily in play testing.

    Sleeping mager? No…I did see some statues. What do I need to do with that? This is a monster or an item I interact with? I created a new save game, it totally sucks as I don’t want to start over…I should have the old game still too.

      Before you face off with the big boss of the area there is a almost dead ranger in a tomb. Maybe its through the gate im not sure. I am pretty sure he is before the third mini wight as well. Yeah it is really lame that you can’t do a manuel save

    Also posted this on your fb page…Help..can anyone help me with LOTR War in the North, in the tomb of amon whatever in barrow-wight tombs..Where do I find the key to open the gate?? I can’t find it and searched all over. Someone said it was in a chest but only chest I found only has random items.

      If it’s not listed here, it’s because Johnny Hurricane hasn’t got that far yet. He’s covering Uncharted 3 at the same time, sure he’ll get it up as soon as possible.

      You didn’t beat the main boss then I assume. I am not 100% sure where you are at did you beat a wight yet? I also don’t recall a key. I beat the game so I know I beat that part. I remeeber having to clear out two other caves before going through on e of the doors.

        Johnny:

        No, the one that possesses the party members? No not yet. I’ve done the small cave quest where you clear it of undead to put the tomb at rest. Now on the ‘find the missing rangers’ quest right now, have fought two wight bosses that throw rocks at you, now in the cave called Tomb of Amon Gorthad. There’s a main room with a metal gate that fills with undead, a treasure room with a chest to your right, a large burial room to left with more undead and just some herbs and one urn. No key yet to unlock gate. This is the PC version if that helps. Sigh.

          I play on the ps3 BUT it shouldn’t make a difference. Im at my real job right now so I can’t look I get out in 2out hours and can check around it then. I do seem to remeber a chest with a key in it but I played co op and my cousin grabbed it so ill have to look.

          Another issue I faced during the game was sometimes my quests would glitch and I couldn’t complete the, or get to certain areas. Check your log and make sure it is telling you to clear out that tomb or whatever

            Yeah ..I think its a glitch :( I can’t even leave the tomb to go outside to the other areas or return to another city, there’s an invisible black wall stopping me.

            If you get a chance to look great…don’t get in trouble at your job :)

            My boss left hours ago and my job is laid back so its straight. I think if you cant leave yiu may be in trouble. Did you find the sleeping rnager in that tomb? He’s on like an altar kinda looks dead.

        I think I’m just fu**ed …I replayed on easy difficulty and fought straight back to that point. I was careful not to open any chests or urns until the very end. Still no gate key…what is this sleeping mager? I still don’t understand.

          There is a sleeping Ranger for the quest. you need to find two and he is one of them. I’m going back right now to check the area.

          Okay okay aft5er going back through the burrow I made it to this Nazgul looking statue and I recall picking up a key on that? Have you see that yet?

            Johnny, yeah I’ve seen a couple statues like that,a guy in robes standing up. One of them has a huge sword. I don’t remember a key, can you describe which room that it is in and how you got the key? Playing this on OnLive.com with limited play for 5 days grrr.

            Next time I’ll wait until the game is out for awhile so more spoilers are out there. Thanks for your help.

            Yeah I just clicked X at a giant nazgul looking statue and got the key? Sorry man I think your game might be glitched.
