Darksiders 2: Corrupted Custodian Boss Fight Guide

Unlike the last few boss fights, there’s no special mechanics or gimmicks needed to down this guy, however, it does hit really hard. He has 2 main abilities if you stay in melee range, a 2 fist punch to the floor and a spinning attack. The first ability is easily avoided as he pulls both arms back quite a distance before smashing them into the ground, giving you plenty of time to dodge out of the way. The second ability is a little more difficult.

You’ll see his body become slightly smaller as he gathers his bits to do the spinning attack. At this point you need to get out of the way, don’t worry about counter-attacking while he’s doing that, just focus on not getting hit. You’ll have plenty of time to counter-attack his other ability.

That’s pretty much it. As he pulls back to the ground pound, dodge backwards or to the side to avoid the damage. Then you can either dodge back towards him or use the Deathgrip ability to get to him a little quicker. I used the Deathgrip ability as was able to take out about 15% of his health per counter. As with previous bosses, wait for him to become more vulnerable before you waste all of your best abilities.
