Cosplay Wednesday – Metal Gear Solid V’s Quiet
As the mastermind behind the oh-so-popular Metal Gear Solid series, he has slowly dished out information regarding the next entry in the series, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Little is known about the game, but he has issued out a challenge on Twitter to all would-be cosplayers regarding the new character Quiet, saying that “The character I asked Yoji to make it more erotic, this one may not be cosplayable.” Some may find this a daunting task, but cosplayer Kelly Jean rose up to Kojima’s challenge — and came out on top.
Kelly Jean likes to cause controversy. After seeing Kojima’s statement, she wanted to take on his request after her fans practically begged her to do so. After spending hours in a shoot performed by Sebastian Matthews, she finally captured everything from the exact pose to the proper lighting in these shots.
She even sent a Tweet back his way, telling him “CHALLENGE COMPLETED.” Apparently the cosplay got his seal of approval, as he retweeted the post to all of his fans. She even got the attention of Konami, scoring an interview with Konami UK.
