Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey Recruitment Guide

In order to get more monkeys, you will have to find them up in the trees. When you find them, they will have something wrong with them. Fix them up and bring them back to recruit them. Use your bed and end the expedition to fully bring them in. You can only have six Elders, Adults, and Children at any time. If you have six adults, you won’t find monkeys in the trees.

Holding Arm
Ancestors The Humankind Odyssey Recruitment Guide

This one is pretty obvious, the monkey has a broken arm. In order to heal it up and recruit it, you will need to bring some Horse Tail to it. You can find Horsetail near rivers and other water sources.

Holding Gut And Coughing Into Hand
This is a single that the monkey is poisoned and needs something to cure it. The easiest way it to give it a coconut with a hole in it. Find a coco and a rock and smash the coco open. Return to the Ape and hand it over to get it to join you. You can also use Honey if you have that.

Holding Head/Hitting Head
This indicates that a monkey is thirsty and you need to bring it a cracked Coco. Find a Coco and a rock and use the rock to bust open the Coco. Hand the busted Coco over to the ape and it will follow you back home.

Holding Gut/Keeling Over
If you find an ape that is kind of leaning over holding their gut, you need to find them the red leave flowers that grow on trees. I forget what the name of the leaf actually is. It indicates that the monkey has a broken bone and needs to be fixed. Just don’t get the red berries and the red leaves confused.

Scared Monkey
This one is the most obvious, you have to reassure the monkey. Hold the button until your hand is right over the other apes shoulder then release. This should have you hug the other monkey and you can bring them back to your tribe.

Holding Gut And Groaning
This indicates that a monkey is hungry and you can feed them almost anything. Try to not feed them something that will poison them or harm them.
