Borderlands 3 The Drought Side Quest Guide

The Drought is the first main area that you will find side quests in Borderlands 3. Finding the side quests are easy, completing them is another thing entirely. Check out this Borderlands 3 The Drought side quest guide to complete them all.

Your first side quest has you fixing up a vending machine for Marcus. He wants you to collect him some Skag parts and you can get a human spine as well. That part is optional, all you have to do is bring him the skag part to beat the quest.

Bad Reception

This is the first quest you get from Claptrap. He wants you to go to a few different spots and collect some items for him. The first one you come across needs you to ground pound the entrance to open the hatch. Go up, like climb the hill near it, and jump off and press the crouch button to smash open the hatch. The one with the electricity in the water, you need to shoot the target in the cave to clear the lightning. To get the hat from the psycho you will have to shoot 3 mini satellites. Then for the old shack, run and slide under the door or kill the badass in the back to keep the door open. Return to Claptrap with the pieces to complete the quest. He wants you to pick what he wears at the end, you can switch it whenever so don’t stress about it.

Dump On Dumptruck

Dumptruck is your first bounty mission. The optional objective says to shoot him in the ass, which we tried and it didn’t work. You might have to kill him from behind for it to count. That is the easy part, the hard part is getting his loot. When you get up to where Dumptruck is, you will see a wire split on the floor. You need to shoot the pipe above the wire, which will cause some water to come out. Then you need to shoot the target generator above that, that will connect the current and give you access to the loot under the area. Here is what it looks like once you do do it all.

Undertaker

This is another bounty quest you will get while doing the Claptrap mission. This one is pretty straight forward, kill the enemy, loot the area, and you beat the quest.

Skag Dog Days

The first part of the quest leads you to a gun that you will need to use on the second part. Use the guns grenade launcher (secondary fire) that you get from the quest location on the Cacti to get the items you need. Any kind of splash damage works, including grenades and ultimate. Don’t forget to check the high ground for that last one. Kill the alpha stag and grab the meat. Finally, go to the bandit camp and kill the enemies there. Grab their meat and turn it in to complete the quest.
