Should You Capture Or Kill Monsters In Monster Hunter WorldObviously if the missions says to kill or capture then you have to do that, but if the mission says hunt then you have the choice. So what is the difference between killing and capturing a monster? Loot mostly. If you kill the beast you will be able to carve from it and get three chances at random loot. If you choose to capture it you will get more bonus loot from the end of the mission. Capturing is more work but the rewards are worth it. Here is an example of a capture vs a kill for rewards.
As you can see here you get much more bonus loot from the capture. If you choose to kill it you get more normal loot but it is slightly more loot with a capture. It is all random regardless if you capture or kill the beast so why not get more loot in the process. It just takes a trap and some tranq bombs to get the job done and you can bring those with you into each mission.
