Chocobo's Mystery Dungeon Every Buddy Job Abilities Guide
The game features a number of special Jobs you can unlock by finding Job Memories. This Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon Every Buddy Job Abilities Guide explains the different abilities available to each of the classes so you can better prepare for your personal choice of Job.

Once you have discovered a Job Memory and unlocked a class, you can equip that class at the beginning of any dungeon. Some dungeons restrict class and level, others may provide another opportunity to change Jobs just before the boss.

Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon Every Buddy Job Abilities Guide

Freelancer

Chocobo Kick (Level 1)
Attack foe 1 tile away.

Chocobo Drop (Level 2)
Attack all foes within a 1-tile radius

Chocobo Kick + (Level 3)
Attack a for 1 tile ahead of you and knock them back

Dig (Level 4)
Dig up an item once per dungeon floor

Chocomet (Level 5)
Drop a meteor on an area 3 tiles ahead of you

Chocobo Dash (Level 6)
Cast Haste and temporarily increase speed

Chocobo Kick Zero (Level 7)
Stun a foe 1 tile ahead of you and cause knock back

Chocobash (Level 8)
Attacks all enemies within 3 tiles

Knight

Power Smack (Level 1)
Attack a foe within 1 tile and knock them back

Circle Slash (Level 2)
Damages all enemies within a 1 tile radius

Slow Burner (Level 3)
Apply slow and knockback to target 1 tile away

Aegis Shield (Level 4)
Casts protect spell

Excalibur (Level 5)
High damage to all 3 squares in a row ahead of you.

Climhazzard (Level 6)
Attack all foes in a 1-tile cross and knock them back.

Ragnarok (Level 7)
Deals huge damage to all foes within a 1 tile radius

Camelot (Level 8)
Slow and knock back to all enemies in a 1 tile radius

Black Mage

Fire, Water, Blizzard, Thunder, Aero & Stone (Level 1)
Does corresponding elemental damage to a creature up to 3 tiles away.

Sleep (Level 2)
Put a foe up to 3 tiles ahead of you to sleep.

Drain (Level 3)
Drain HP from a foe up to 3 tiles ahead of you

Manaward (Level 4)
Cast Manaward to temporarily nullify magic damage

Firaga, Waterga, Blizzaga, Thunderaga, Aeroga (Level 5)
Does corresponding elemental damage to all creatures in range

Quake (Level 6)
Deal earth damage to all foes within 3 tiles and apply stun

Charge (Level 6)
Restore SP

Flare (Level 7)
Deal explosive damage to 1 foe up to 3 tiles away

Meteor (Level 8)
Cast Meteor on all foes within 3 tile radius

Dragoon

Jump (Level 1)
Attack a foe up to two tiles away.

Flame Lance (Level 2)
Deal piercing fire damage to all foes up to two tiles in range

Ice Lance (Level 3)
Deal piercing ice damage to all foes up to two tiles in range

Lancet (Level 4)
Drain HP from a foe within 1 tile ahead range.

High Jump (Level 5)
Attack a foe up to 3 tiles ahead of you.

Dragon Power (Level 6)
Cast Bravery that temporarily increases attack

Holy Lane (Level 7)
Piercing damage to foes 3 tiles ahead

Gungnir (Level 8)
Huge piercing damage in straight line up to 6 tiles

Dark Knight

Shadow (Level 1)
Sacrificed HP to deal dark damage to a foe 1 tile ahead

Dark (Level 2)
Deal dark damage to foe up to 3 tiles ahead

Covenant (Level 3)
Sacrificed defense to increase attack

Blood Sword (Level 4)
Drain HP from a foe up to one tile away

Dark Breaker (Level 5)
Attack all foes in a row ahead of you and knock them back

Nightmare (Level 6)
Cast sleep on all foes within a 1 tile radius

Dark Blade (Level 7)
Sacrifice HP to deal dark damage to 1 target and knock back

Chaos (Level 8)
Drain HP from all foes within a 3 tile radius

White Mage

Cure (Level 1)
Restore a small amount of HP

Protect (Level 2)
Cast Protect and temporarily reduce incoming physical damage

Shell (Level 2)
Cast Shell and temporarily reduce incoming magical damage

Escape (Level 3)
Warp to another location on the current floor

Dia (Level 3)
Deal Light damage against a foe up to 3 tiles ahead of you

Silence (Level 3)
Silence a foe up to 3 tiles ahead of you.

Cura (Level 4)
Restore a moderate amount of HP

Slow (Level 4)
Cause slow on a foe up to 3 tiles away

Esuna (Level 5)
Cure all status effects

Manaward (Level 5)
Cast Manaward and provide temporary immunity to magic

Dispel (Level 6)
Remove curses from equipped items

Charge (Level 6)
Restore SP

Curaga (Level 7)
Restore a large amount of HP

Holy (Level 7)
Deal Light damage to a foe up to 3 tiles away

Teleport (Level 8)
Escape from current dungeon
