Final Fantasy 15 Weapon Upgrade Mod Guide
Final Fantasy XV features unique weapons that you can discover and upgrade. This Final Fantasy 15 Weapon Upgrade Mod Guide tells you where to find these unique weapons, what items you need to improve them and other useful details.
Only certain, special weapons can be upgraded. These can be easily identified by a small yellow icon next to the weapon in the item & equip screens. When you begin the game you start with the Engine Blade, that is one of the weapons that you’re able to upgrade.
Did you know there is only 1 sniper rifle in FFXV? And, it rocks!
Once you’ve got all the upgradeable weapons be sure to move on to the 5 legendary weapons before completing the 8 hidden dungeons in FFXV.
Final Fantasy 15 – How To Upgrade Weapons
Don’t just settle for the best weapons! Make sure you craft yourself Limit Break Magic that can do over 9999 damage. You cannot upgrade weapons until you progress through the story. You will find a Drain Lance during the mission where you return to the city after you hear about the events that occurred while you have been away. You cannot miss the Drain Lance. A prompt will tell you to speak with Cid to upgrade weapons in the future. From this point on you can speak with Cid at the Hammerhead stop to upgrade any weapons you have obtained that feature the upgrade icon.
When you speak with Cid and have an item to upgrade you’ll get a quest to find a certain item. Below is a list of weapons and the items you need to upgrade them. If you are unable to give Cid your items there’s a good chance he is already working on one for you. After completing a few side quests or hunts be sure to rest at a campfire and eventually you’ll get a call. You may also want to double check you’ve got the item he needs.
Different items take different lengths of time so if you’re wondering how long do I have to wait a basic technique should work for you. Do 1-2 side quests, a couple of hunts and then rest at an inn, camp in the morning for our fast exp leveling method and repeat. This usually gets all weapons upgraded within a few days.
