How To Get Intel In Agents Of Mayhem

How To Get Intel In Agents Of Mayhem
Intel is one of the many resources in Agents of Mayhem and is one required to progress through the Global Conflict mode. This How To Get Intel In Agents Of Mayhem guide covers the basics of Intel, where to find it and what you can use it for in the Global Conflict feature.

Once you reach Agency level 8 you unlock Global Conflict. This feature lets you send off your Agents on various missions around the globe. Each of the regions holds multiple different areas, and each area costs a certain amount of Intel to explore. If you run out of Intel you are not able to progress any further in Global Conflict.

There are two main methods of obtaining Intel in Agents of Mayhem. You can complete Recon Run missions, these are highlighted on the map with an icon of a running man. These missions are very common, can be repeated, but only offer a very small amount of Intel as a reward, usually between 5 and 10. Another small source of Intel that can be repeated are the Hostage Rescue objectives, marked by handcuff icons on the map. Again these can be repeated but the reward is small.

A better source of Intel, although ones you cannot complete often, are the Legion Controlled Outposts. These can be completed very quickly and provide a much larger amount of Intel per Outposts. Usually around 30-40+.

Best Intel farm I’ve come up with so far:

Lower the difficulty to either 1 or 0, then wreak havoc on the streets until your Legion Alert level rises and enemies start to spawn in around you. “Elite” versions of the standard Hell, Swarm and Shock troopers start spawning in once you hit Alert level 4 & 5. Kill them when they spawn, then run away until your Alert level drops down to 3 again and kill your way back up to 5; rinse and repeat. If you let it get all the way to Alert level 6, the a Pridebot will drop in, which can be good for farming OTHER materials (upgrade cores, Legion schematics, etc), but aren’t very effective for farming Intel given how long it takes to kill them vs how little Intel they drop… if any.

I got about 400 Intel in about an hour this way (I was actually farming Shocktrooper and Elite kills with Special and Mayhem attacks for my Daily Contracts, and was extremely pleased to find I’d earned the Intel as a side benefit–Oni’s Special will one-hit anything that’s lower than an Elite at this difficulty).
