The first thing you need to do in the L.A. Noire The Set Up guide after the cut scene is check the fighter’s dressing room for clues. Turns out the guy was supposed to take a fall but didn’t . Anyways on to the clues.

First thing we are going to do is check his locker. It’s the second one from the end. Check the note pad for clue and a number. After that turn around and on one of them tables you should see a newspaper. Grab it and look at it if you want. After that use the phone to get an address. Time to roll.

The next part of the L.A. Noire The Set Up guide is at the hotel. Walk in and talk to the guy behind the desk. You will then get to look in a ledger. The guy didn’t use his real name so look for Winston Churchill. He is in room 207. He isn’t there so it’s time to search for clues.

Search the dresser first and pick up the ripped movie ticket for a clue. Open the chocolate box for some insight from Phelps.

After that check the trash can that’s tipped over for another clue.

After that check the newspaper on the table and in the bottom right corner is your clue.

Check the table on the left side of the bed for your last clue here. After that it is time to check the girlfriend’s house.

The next part of the L.A. Noire The Set Up guide is at Candy’s house. Head inside and talk to the receptionist. She is in apartment 7. It is on the second floor. Once you get in there you have to fight someone. After that it is time to find some clues.

Search the dress for a bus ticket and a clue. Then check the boat picture right next to it for another clue.

Now check the body of the guy you just beat down. In his inside pockets are two things you have to look at. Once that is done the girl gets back up.

The next part of the L.A. Noire The Set Up guide is questioning Candy. Let’s do it.

First question whereabouts of Hammond.  Pick lie then choose the magazine coupon.

Next is list of odds recovered. Pick lie and choose Bookmaker’s odds

Last is plans to leave town. Pick doubt. After that a cut scene then you have to follow her. You have to stay hidden by using newspapers and such.  You can also hide behind walls and cars. There will be a point where you can use a pole to climb the roof. Do that and keep on here till she turns down a street that you can’t follow on anymore. Use the ladder on that roof to get down and keep tailing her. Just use cover and don’t keep her out of your sight long and you’ll be fine. It is a tad long though.

The next part of the L.A. Noire The Set Up guide is searching for clues in the booky place. Once inside go to the phone and you will have to shade in the paper again. You will then get a new clue and address.

The next part of the L.A. Noire The Set Up guide is at the drug store. Once you go in there will be a cut scene. Check right next to the phone for a clue. Then use the phone. After that talk to Mervin and he will give you an address.

The next part of the L.A. Noire The Set Up guide is at Ray’s bookmakers. Once you get there you will see a cab. Now you have to tail that. Just don’t get to close and keep it in sight and you will be fine. They stop at the bus station.

The next part of the L.A. Noire The Set Up guide is at the bus station. You have to see what Candy is up to without being seen again. I walked in and went straight to the seat with a paper and sat in it then watched her. She will go into the ladies room and you will hear a shot. Let’s go check it out. After the cut scene it is time to look for clues.

First search on the ground for the gun as a clue. Then open the hand bag for another clue. Those are all the clues here.

The next part of the L.A. Noire The Set Up guide is at the theatre. Once you get there a cut scene will happen then you can walk into the place. Keep going until the cut scene happens. After that it’s a gun fight. You will have to fight your way upstairs. Kill the main guy and you get another cut scene. That will end the case.

So that’s the end of the L.A. Noire The Set Up guide and you will get a 5 star rating. On to the next case. While you’re here though check out and like our Facebook page and follow us on Twitter.

Just a reminder that if you tail Candy without getting caught, and without going incognito or using cover, you will get “The Moose” achievement/trophy.

This is incorrect. I did all of these steps and at the end of the case I get demoted down and got a one star. I was suppose to keep the girl alive it basically said.

There is no way to keep her alive. Its a cut scene you can’t stop that. You likely did to much damage to the city or hit a person with a car.

You are supposed to get demoted that’s the next part of the story.

    I didn’t get the trophy… Wtf!!!????????

    • http://www.GamersHeroes.com Johnny Hurricane

      Trophy for what?

  • Rachel

Your NOT SUPPOSE to be demoted……..

    • http://www.GamersHeroes.com Johnny Hurricane

Uh in order to finish the game you need to be demoted?

  • Justin Bruce

Okay, let me straighten this up, IF you get a one star( fail Candy’s interview, miss too much evidence, too much damage,) Phelps will have to do one month’s worth of Patrol( don’t worry, you don’t have to play that month of patrol). If you get a 4 or above, your commended and sent on your way. Don’t know anything about 2 or 3 stars

I dont know what you guys did… but… I did everything on this guide just like it said, whoever wrote this was correct in it all. I followed their instructions to the letter and got awarded 5 stars. No demotion, PERFECT case. Thanks to the one who took the time to write all this out!
