The Crew 2 Photo Op Guide
Want to find the Photo Ops and complete the objectives? This The Crew 2 Photo Op Guide will tell you where to find the different photo opportunities and what photographs you need to take in order to complete the Photo Op objective and receive the rewards.
When checking the locations below, head to the area marked by the player icon (red circle). The actual icon for the Photo Op’s is always slightly higher than the location itself. If you are struggling with any specific objectives, make sure you pin the Photo Op from the activities menu’s to keep the objectives on the screen.
How To Take The Correct Photograph
When you are given an objective to photograph something, you need to make sure you are photographing the correct objective, and that objective must be the focal point of the shot. Check below for two examples. If the shot is of the correct objective and it’s going to count, the objective will be highlighted in green in the upper left. If it’s incorrect, it will be grey.
New York Photo Ops
It’s a very large metallic orb sculpture in the middle of the park area.
You won’t get a Photo Op for this one unless it is foggy. However, you can still get the shot. It’s the very large metal bridge. You need to go into the Livephoto Mode and then select Settings. Move through to the weather and select fog.
Make sure you have this pinned as an objective on the left of your screen. Times Square will be highlighted when you are in the right area. You need to do a Donut in a very small part of Times Square then open photo mode. Use Left and Right to rewind time until the Donut and Times Square are both highlighted green.
Simply take a photograph of Niagara Falls.
You need to take a photograph that features the water area (bay) and the large stone pillar building.
You need a Motocross Bike. Head to the top of the mountain on a Motocross Bike, the top of the mountain is marked by a large metallic tower.
You need to sit atop the rocks near at the Waterfalls top. Look out to the ocean on a Motorcross bike and take the shot.
There is a small waterfall in North Woods. Just down the waterfall using a boat and take a photograph
Fly over the Long Island Speedrome and take an aerial photograph.
Head to the race track. As you take over another player, take a photograph. You can’t be in a race, just drive around the track as normal.
Take a Racing Plane. Fly over central park at high speed very low, over the lakes.
You need a Monster Truck. Go to the StormX Arena North East of New York and do an air trick.
Using a Monster Truck in the Financial District of New York, do a wall ride.
Washington Photo Ops
Fly to the Pentagon and take a photo from the air
Fly to this location in Washington and take a photograph of the Capitol Building.
Head to the large pool of water here, the Reflecting Pool. Land with a boat and take a picture.
Miami Photo Ops
South West of the Florida Keys. There’s a huge cruise ship. You need to take a plane, do a Touch and Go maneuver (hit the ground and go back up), and take a photo all near the cruise ship.
The same cruise ship from Cruise N Go. Take a boat, get alongside and take a picture of the ship
There is a group of huge Cypress Trees in the Everglades Park at Miami.
Head to the Miami Racing Track with a plane and take an aerial photograph
You need to have a friend for this one. Race across the large bridge, getting a slipstream for a couple of seconds. Then take the shot.
Detroit Photo Ops
Take a photograph of the wrecked ship on the Lake Erie shoreline. It’s big, hard to miss.
Take an aerial photograph of Little Eagle Speedrome.
Head to the starting grid at the Little Eagle Speedrome. Do a burn (Hold accelerate and break at the same time) and snap a photograph.
You need to take a racing place and fly under the very small bridge near the State Prison.
Chicago Photo Ops
Take a photograph of Mount Rushmore.
You need a Rally Cross vehicle for this Photo Op. Head to the top of the mountain. You’ll need to fly and then land on the base of the large radar tower, under the dish.
There is a tunnel here. You need to exit the tunnel heading towards the town at high speeds. It’s difficult with normal cars. I used my drag race car and just used the walls to turn the corner. I was going 200 mph.
Head to this location. There are a number of wrecked ships. Take a photograph of the paddle boat wrecked on the shoreline.
San Francisco Photo Ops
You need to do a drift through the Dragons Gate, a small archway at the location marked above.
Take a picture of Auburns Courthouse. It’s the largest building in the area.
Take a picture of the Golden Gate Bridge
You need to get on top of the Dam and do a wheelie on a motorbike. It’s difficult to get on. I used a plane, switched a bike to my favorite, and changed mid flight.
Head to the area and take a photograph of the stadium
Using a racing plane you need to cross the finish of the track at low altitude. It’s marked by the large Bushimura tire.
Las Vegas Photo Ops
Take a photograph of the Las Vegas strip. Make sure to change the settings to night.
You need to fly upside down and low altitude under the Eiffel Tower replica.
Take any vehicle to atop the blue pyramid in Vegas. You can use a plane, just touch the top and take a photograph.
A small ghost town to the South of Las Vegas in the Mojave Desert. Take a photograph of the church
Take a aerial photograph of the Golden Hills Racing Track.
Take a photograph of a gas station near Black Mount.
Take a photograph at the top of this mountain Las Vegas in a Rally Raid vehicle.
Take a photograph in the Grand Canyon while flying inverted at low altitude
Los Angeles Photo Ops
Take a picture of the top of the bank building. It’s the large building with a hexagon style circle on the top.
There’s small ruins here. Take a plane, fly into them, take a photograph just as you connect.
Fly to Big Land and fly at low altitude with a plane.
In Santa Monica in Los Angeles. There’s a couple of grass sculptures of dinosaurs. Take the photograph.
You need a Monster Truck. Take a photograph that includes the Los Angeles Convention Center (Game Center) with the truck.
Take an aerial photograph over the top of the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. North West of Los Angeles.
Freestyle HQ Photo Ops
Take a photograph of a large building here. It’s dark orange, next to a large black building that looks like a hotel.
Offroad HQ Photo Ops
There’s a large rock formation here. There’s a large rock pillar a gap and then the rest of the large rock formation. Fly between the two.
Take a picture of the large rock formation here.
Take a picture of where the Grand Canyon river goes both North and South into the canyon.
Take an aerial photograph of the Meteor Crater
There’s a very tall pillar here. Touch the top of it with your plane and take a photograph
Miscellaneous Photo Ops
Using a Drag Race car, jump a gap. There’s a ferry bridge here that works perfectly.
Take a photograph of the large hotel here.
Take your Proto Buggy on to the top of Ivory’s Peak and take a photo.
Land or drive to the top of the Salty Peak and change to an RX vehicle (Rally Cross). Then take a photo
Using an Aerobatics plane, roll through Wind Turbines.
Switch your Monster Truck to your favorite. Fly to the top of the nuclear plant silo. Switch to a Monster Truck, as you land in the top of the silo, take a photo.
Switch your Monster Truck to your favorite. Fly to the top of the giant cow and take a photo in your Monster Truck.
There’s a PeddleWheel boat in this area. Fly over it inverted in the morning.
Go to the top of the ski jump. Drive down with a car, switch to a powerboat before the jump, take a photo.
Wildlife Photo OpsUnlike the other Photo Ops, the Wildlife Photo Ops are scattered throughout and can be found in multiple places. We have just listed the ones we discovered that were the easiest, the target found closest to the Photo Op message. The best way to do this is to ensure the objective is pinned so it shows on your screen. Then, when you are driving around, wait for the objective text to turn grey. This will indicate that you have visible sight of the animal, you just have to find it with the camera.
Take a photograph of nearby Ox, they look similar to cows.
Take a photograph of the moose. It’s just East of Mount Rushmore.
Take a photograph of a Bear. Just East of Mount Rushmore.
Take a picture of a Buffalo. They usually travel in herds so it’s easier than most.
Take a photograph of a Stag. The spot I found easiest was North East of San Francisco by the Folsom Lake Dam
Snap a picture of a Crocodile or Alligator. You will find them along the roadside in the Bayou, They tend to flee to the water as you approach.
You need a picture of a Flamingo. They can be tough as they fly away as soon as you approach. Drive around the Bayou and you will see some on the road. Get close as they take off, and snap a picture.
You need to take a photograph of a wolf in the snow. You can use the camera options to add snow. We found one by fluke so we’re still looking for a good spot.
This one is a massive pain. Capture a Condor in flight. They tend to fly at high altitudes above the rocky areas in this area. They look like this:
This one is also very difficult. They are small dog-like animals. Take a picture of a Coyote. Drive around the roads in this area slowly, with the Coyote Photo Op pinned. Wait for it to go grey and hunt it down.
