Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey Gets Console Launch Trailer

To mark its launch on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Private Division and Panache Digital Games have released a launch trailer for Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey.

This third-person, exploration, survival game takes players to the dawn of humankind. Faced with a monumental challenge, players must do everything in their power to ensure your clan’s survival through millions of years of evolution. Multiple biomes can be explored, and players must use their survival skills to contend with a number of different deadly predators. To get ahead of the game, players can utilize the neuronal network to augment traits and abilities in an RPG-like fashion.

According to Patrice Désilets, Co-Founder and Creative Director of Panache Digital Games:

“Ancestors is very much a story that is co-written by the player. We created a world in which you are free to explore and develop this narrative that you control. It’s intentionally challenging, and we give players great freedom to explore and learn on their own, which makes each discovery and accomplishment incredibly rewarding.”

Allen Murray, Head of Production at Private Division, added:

“Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey pushes new boundaries in gaming and is a worthy addition to anyone’s library. It was built by a small team, yet remains ambitious and will provide a unique experience that no other game out now can.”
