Deus Ex Mankind Divided Gets An 18 Minute Gameplay Demo
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is only a couple of months away and we are finally getting some in-game footage. The demo takes place in the city-hub of Prague, and it looks pretty early in the game. Check out this article for more details on the demo.

Deus Ex Mankind Divided Gets An 18 Minute Gameplay Demo

Here is the new demo, make sure you have some time to watch it all.

The Demo starts off in Adam Jensen’s apartment. It is 30 hours after some terrorist attack which we do not see in the demo. During the attack, Jensen took some augment damage so his abilities are limited and he needs to get some repairs done. Much like the previous Deus Ex, there is a lot of interaction with objects in buildings. The more you check, the more loot you can get. They don’t spend too much time doing that in the demo just to speed things up. You also hear a messaged left by David Sarif who I remember from the last game. Calling him back results in a side missions but the demo is focusing on the main part of the game.

James Miller is Adam Jensen’s new boss and he wants to see you at the office when you can get down there. Jensen has to go get his augments fixed first so that is his focus. In the poor part of Prague there are a lot of people like Jensen, augmented. This means there will be more police presence than normal just in case something goes wrong. The city has plenty of places to explore, loot and citizens to interact with. Getting to your friend to help with your augments is no easy task. You can fight your way through or find a way around. The demo shows off how you can get through the blockade without fighting anyone.

Once they are past the blockade you get to see some of the abilities. They choose to use stealth to get through this section but there is always the option to fight your way through. They show off the new Tesla Gun Arm Augment that will allow you to bring down multiple enemies at once without killing them, looks pretty cool. They also show off a bit of gun play with the pistol and the toxic gas grenade. In the end you reach Koller and the demo ends.

Overall the game looked great and I am even more excited to play it now. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is coming August 23rd, 2016 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
