The Last of Us Part II Delayed to May 29
The Last of Us Part II director Neil Druckmann made a statement today stating that the title will be delayed to May 29, 2020.
Written for the official PlayStation Blog, Druckmann stated that the studio realized that they didn’t have enough time to bring the entire game up “to a level of polish [they] would call Naughty Dog quality.” The delay was done to allow the team to bring the title up to their level of satisfaction, and also reduce stress on their team.
The Last of Us Part II has players taking control of 19-year-old Ellie, who must contend with a mysterious cult while living life in a post-apocalyptic United States. In a statement to Gamespot, the development team stated that this is the longest game that they have ever made.
The game will come out for the PlayStation 4.
