Love may be in the air, but so are a number of quality video game releases. On that note, here are five games we’re looking forward to in February. Oh, and we won’t make you click through five pages to look at the entire list.

5 Games We’re Looking Forward to in February

Gamers Heroes Top 10 - 10

For Honor

Get ready to experience “the art of battle.”

For Honor lets players take control of the Legion (knights), the Chosen (samurai), or the Warborn (vikings) in a unique medieval fantasy setting. Hack-and-slash battles are the name of the game here, with a focus on melee attacks with weapons like axes, swords, and katanas. We’re especially looking forward to experiencing its online multiplayer modes, which feature perks, AI minions, and the unqiue “Art of Battle” system.

For Honor will come out for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on February 14, 2017.

Halo Wars 2

Developed by 343 Industries and Creative Assembly, Halo Wars 2 takes the popular shooter and turns it into a real-time strategy game once again. This time the United Nations Space Command (UNSC) takes on a new alien faction known as the Banished. Unlike other games of its ilk, Halo Wars 2 uses a rock-paper-scissors-style counter-attack system, where ground vehicles, infantry, and aircraft have their own unique advantages and disadvantages. We’re looking forward to experiencing the balance and strategy this game has to offer, as well as trying out the new Blitz mode, which takes inspiration from collectible card games.

Halo Wars 2 will come out for the Xbox One and PC on February 21, 2017.

Torment: Tides of Numenera

A spiritual successor to the 1999 classic Planescape: Torment, Torment: Tides of Numenera follows the tabletop ruleset of Monte Cook’s Numenera. There is an emphasis on storytelling in this title, complete with a dialog tree system. We’re looking forward to getting lost in its world, and also exploring its unique dystopian future.

Torment: Tides of Numenera will come out for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Mac on February 28, 2017.

Nioh

Team Ninja tries its hand at the Soulsborne formula with the upcoming release of Nioh. Gameplay revolves around navigating levels and defeating monsters, all while managing stamina. Taking place in the Sengoku period, players take control of the sailor William as he fights deadly yokai. We’re looking forward to diving into this title’s deep gameplay, which includes such mechanics as the “Ki pulse” recovery and different stances.

Nioh will come out for the PlayStation 4 on February 7, 2017.

Horizon Zero Dawn

Horizon Zero Dawn brings players into a vast open world, complete with a day/night cycle and no loading times. Players take control of Aloy, an archer trying to survive in a world overrun by robots. Players can shoot arrows, set traps, or even hack robots to turn them into makeshift vehicles and weapons. We’re looking forward to exploring this world, which looks to pack some serious depth.

Horizon Zero Dawn will come out for the PlayStation 4 on February 28, 2017.

What we at Gamers Heroes are looking forward to the most:

Though there are a lot of solid titles coming out this month, we are looking forward to Horizon Zero Dawn the most. It’s unique setting, vast world, and varying styles of play make it stand out in our eyes.
