The summer season may be finally here, but that doesn’t mean the deluge of games is slowing down anytime soon. On that note, here are 5 games we’re looking forward to in June. Oh, and we won’t make you click through five pages to look at the entire list.
5 Games We’re Looking Forward to in June
Arms
The Switch gets one of its first fighting games with the upcoming release of Nintendo’s Arms. Unlike more traditional fighters, up to four players fight by using extendable arms to knock their opponents senseless. Each character has a different set of abilities, and unique gloves are also available. We’re looking forward to experiencing these unique bouts, and also utilizing the systems’ Joy-Con motion-controllers for play.
Arms will come out for the Nintendo Switch on June 16, 2017.
Valkyria Revolution
Developed in collaboration with Media.Vision and SEGA, Valkyria Revolution is a more action-oriented spinoff of the Valkyria Chronicles series. Unlike the World War II influence of the original series, Valkyria Revolution is inspired by the European industrial revolution and the struggle between Jutland and Ruzhien. We’re looking forward to utilizing its new battle system, which combines squad behavior customization and loadouts with real-time action.
Valkyria Revolution will come out for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PlayStation Vita on June 27, 2017.
DiRT 4
Rally racing is coming back in style with Deep Silver and Codemasters’ upcoming title DiRT 4. True to the races themselves, players can compete in timed stage events on tarmac and off-road terrain in varying weather conditions. Included are five rallycross circuits, Supercars and RX Lites, multiplayer and cross-platform leaderboards. We’re looking forward to experiencing the different conditions the roads have to offer, and coming out on top in races both online and off.
DiRT 4 will come out for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on June 9, 2017.
Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy
After years of inactivity, the little bandicoot that could is back in Vicarious Visions and Activisions’ Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy. Players must stop the evil Dr. Neo Cortex as they platform through a complete remaster of the original three games that came out on the PlayStation 1. Some quality-of-life features are also included, including unified checkpoints, pause menus and save systems, manual and automatic saving, 4K resolution, and remastered audio. We’re looking forward to replaying each of these three games in a new light.
Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy will come out for the PlayStation 4 on June 30, 2017.
Tekken 7
Tekken is back in a big way with the upcoming release of Bandai Namco’s Tekken 7. Though there are still 1-on-1 fights, players can now utilize the Rage Art mechanism, which allows players to execute critical attacks that deal around 30% damage once their health bar is critical. Players can also continue their attacks even while being attacked by the enemy with the Power Crush mechanic. We’re looking forward to experiencing all of that, along with the new stages, costumes, items, and characters.
Tekken 7 will come out for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on June 2, 2017.
