Cosplay Wednesday – Mortal Kombat’s Sonya Blade

After months of anticipation, Mortal Kombat X has finally hit the fighting game scene. As thousands of kombatants square off, Gamers Heroes takes a look at a striking Sonya Blade cosplay.

As a huge fan of Mortal Kombat 9, FireLilyCosplay was drawn to Sonya Blade’s alternative outfit in the game and wanted to pay tribute to it. With the help of M Squared Photography, P Karpey Photography, and $50, she was able to debut this outfit at Otakon 2012. She already owned the wig, boots, tank top, and hat, but put her own touches on the costume by custom making the shorts, thigh holster, armbands, dog tags, and shield.
