How To Save In Animal Crossing New Horizons
In order to save in Animal Crossing New Horizons, you will have to stop playing. While you are playing, press select (-) and you can select save and end. This will save the game of course, but you won’t be able to playing until you load back in. If you are worried about losing progress, save and quit, then jump right back in. You cannot save when a friend is on your island, in fact they can’t even leave when that menu is open. You can also put your switch in rest mode and the game will be fine when you come back, assuming it doesn’t run out of power.
You really don’t need to save that often this time around. I normally do it once per day as I am logging off for the evening or if I am going out for an extended period of time. You also cannot save while you are on the resource islands. This is most likely do you can’t glitch the island into respawning its resources via the time skip.
