There are 4 special unique characters you can recruit to join your clan. This Assassins Creed Valhalla Raid Recruitment Guide breaks down the four different characters you can recruit, including the conversation choices that you must make in order to recruit them.
You can create your own character and have them join other players’ raids via a special settlement building. You can also recruit other players’ characters too but this guide is focusing on important, unique characters within the story that can join your clan and partake in your raids, if you choose to do so. There are spoilers here for some parts of the story so be warned, although details will be kept to a minimum.

How To Recruit Birna
Birna is apart of the story quest centering around the Grantebridgescire region. Towards the end of the quest arc you have to choose a traitor. If you choose incorrectly, Birna will not join your raiding party.
How To Recruit Finnr
If you want to recruit Finnr, there are two choices you have to make. When given the choice on whether Reud lives or dies, you must choose live. Then, later in the story, when Reud attacks the king, you have to choose to fight on the kings behalf. Finnr will join you soon after.
How To Recruit Rollo
Rollo is apart of a traitor storyline in Essexe. I chose the incorrect traitor and he joined my clan, our other editor chose the other traitor and Rollo still joined.
How To Recruit Vili
Vili is part of another aspect of the story, you can’t miss it. There’s a choice here where you pick the Jarl. If you choose Vili, he will be unable to join your Clan. If you convince him to join your clan, he will fight with you.
How To Recruit Nali (The Cat)
Not your typical raider as it’s a cat but if you want a white cat running around your camp, complete the cat Mystery Event in Northwick in East Anglia.
