If you enter the Dojo you’ll have to fight your way through to the owner but if you defeat him, he’ll give you a free Pokemon.

The two Pokemon you can choose between are Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan. They are both fighting type Pokemon but they both have very different move pools and progress in different ways. There is not right or wrong choice here, it’s down to your personal choice and preference.

Choose Hitmonlee Or Hitmonchan In Pokemon Let’s Go

Hitmonlee has a higher attack value and more speed. Hitmonlee is the better average Pokemon out of the two. His attacks focus primarily on kicks and with a higher attack value and more speed, he’s useful in battles as a fighting Pokemon but outside of his type strengths, there’s not much else here.

Hitmonchan has a higher defensive stat. Hitmonchan differs from Hitmonlee due to his Elemental Punches. While he is a fighting type Pokemon, he can learn Ice, Fire and Thunder punch, which gives him more elemental advantages against more types in battle.
