Conan Exiles Corruption - What It Does & How To Cure
The world of Hyboria is an unforgiving place, filled with dark magic and deadly enemies. Conan Exiles features a unique mechanic called Corruption. This Conan Exiles Corruption – What It Does & How To Cure guide will tell you everything you need to know including what Corruption does and how you can cure it.

For reasons explained below it is advised that you AVOID all potential causes of Corruption during the start of your experience in Conan Exiles. Despite the corrupted locations potentially offering high level rewards and loot, the cure should you be exposed for too long a period of time, is not available at lower levels.

Conan Exiles Corruption – What Does It Do?

Corruption is a unique effect in Conan Exiles. It is applied over time whenever you see the Corruption warning on the upper left of the user-interface. Over time you will notice your maximum health and stamina drops. This is represented by a purple color that dominates more of the bar as you progress. Check out the image below, that is the effect of Corruption

Conan-Corruption

Corruption is only a problem in specific areas of the map. Within deep caves or ruins mostly, although there are a number of higher tier enemies that cause Corruption in their immediate area. But it’s unlikely you’ll run into these at lower levels.

Conan Exiles Corruption – How To Cure Corruption?

The real problem with Corruption, the cure. This isn’t a problem at higher levels but without access to specific crafting items, you cannot cure Corruption until at least level 10. This is because you need to be able to capture and break a Thrall, specifically an entertainment Thrall, such as a dancer. These are able to drop the effect of Corruption over time. They are currently the only known cure for the Corruption disease.

Leveling, dying, healing, none have any effect on your Corruption level.
