Dead Cells randomizes many parts of its levels each time you complete or fail an attempt. This makes it difficult to give exact directions on how to find the Rune you need to rub the purple statues, but the instructions work the same nonetheless.
Dead Cells Purple Rub Statues – How To Use & Rune
At the beginning stage, after you get your starter weapon, you need to fully explore the area until you find the Toxic Sewers. There are two different paths to take in the first area, either Promenade of the Condemned or Toxic Sewers, make sure you choose to exit through the Toxic Sewers.
As you explore through the Toxic Sewers you want to look for large grates in the wall. You can interact with these and sometimes, you will speak to a prisoner behind them who asks you to find his Rune. Once you have spoken with him, continue exploring. Eventually you will run into him again in a similar situation, but this time he will tell you that you are close to his Rune.
This will lead you down to a boss. Defeat the boss to obtain the Teleportation Rune.
