[line style=’solid’ top=’10’ bottom=’10’ width=’100%’ height=’1′ color=’blue’] When you first arrive on Eos there are plenty of missions you can complete, such as the incredibly annoying Naming the Dead, but the vast majority are either multi-planet missions or have objectives in areas of the map that has radiation level 3, almost instantly deadly when not in the Nomad and it’s not much better in there either. There is a consumable item you can purchase and a life systems upgrade for the Nomad but these make no difference when trying to explore radiation level 3 areas on Eos.

To clear the radiation you have to progress through the main story. Build either a military or science outpost on Eos and then continue to new worlds. Once you have completed either Havarl or Voeld, you can return to Eos and the rest of the map is opened. All radiation is removed and you’re free to explore different areas that were previously inaccessible.
