Fairy Tail Facilities Upgrade Guide

Upgrading your Fairy Tale Base opens up a lot of options in the game, and it’s vital to progress. This Fairy Tail Facilities Upgrade Guide has everything you need to know about upgrading different facilities within the Fairy Tail Guild’s lodgings, including what’s best to upgrade first and the items required to upgrade.

Once you complete Episode 1 of Chapter 1, you will unlock the ability to upgrade various facilities for the guild. It’s a simple process, using the Guild Ledger opens the interface where you can choose what to upgrade. All upgrades cost Jewels (J), which is the games primary currency. Sometimes you will need to progress to a certain point before an upgrade is available, other times you will need to find a certain item. We’ve got it all covered below.

You can upgrade multiple Facilities at once, which saves time coming back and forth to the guild hall. When you are searching for the special items, simply look for the hammer icon on the appropriate map, it will lead you directly to the item you require. You can get all of the first upgrades as soon as facility upgrades become available, but it’s a good idea to focus on Requests first to greatly increase the Jewels you can earn to upgrade the other areas. However, you can check the information and see what best suits your style.

At the beginning you will only have the option to upgrade the Shop, Request Board, and Laboratory. As you progress you will unlock the Storeroom, Library, and Kitchen – as well as the option to Remodel Facilities. Remodeling adds additional bonuses to each facility. During the final days of the Grand Magic Games, you will unlock the Bar Counter and Table Set options/

Item Shop Upgrades

Item Shop Upgrades (Level 1)

• Cost: 500 Jewels
• Progress: Chapter 1
• Special Item: Regular Pots (The item can be found on the Boundary Forest map, it’s the red beast-like enemies)
• Unlocks: You can now buy and sell items at the shop. The current stock is only Small Salves.

Item Shop Upgrades (Level 2)

• Cost: 2000 Jewels
• Progress: Chapter 2
• Special Item: Quality Pots (Try high ground in Magnolia)
• Unlocks: Adds Medium Salve, Small Bottled Ethernano, Revival Remedy, Burn Ointment, Warming Draught and Antidote to the shops items, as well as new Lacrima.

Item Shop Upgrades (Level 3)

• Cost: 4000 Jewels
• Progress: Chapter 4
• Special Item: Superior Pots (Obtained from Golem’s on Tenrou Island. Unlocked during Chapter 4)
• Unlocks: Additional items available in the store

Item Shop Upgrades (Level 4)

• Cost: 10,000 Jewels
• Progress: Chapter 7
• Special Item: Luxurious Pots (Defeat Lizard Guardian in Hakobe Mountain)
• Unlocks: Adds additional items to store and Grade 3 Lacrima

Item Shop Upgrades (Level 5)

• Cost: 25,000 Jewels
• Progress: Final Chapter
• Special Item: Top-Grade Pots (Defeat Land Whale in Akane Beach)
• Unlocks: Adds Grade 4 Lacrima to the store

Laboratory Upgrades

Laboratory Upgrades (Level 1)

• Cost: 500 Jewels
• Progress: Chapter 1
• Special Item: Regular Flasks (Search Magnolia, along the river)
• Unlocks: The Laboratory can now be used, allowing you to synthesize new Lacrima

Laboratory Upgrades (Level 2)

• Cost: 2000 Jewels
• Progress: Chapter 2
• Special Item: Quality Flasks (Head to Akane Beach and kill some Flutterer)
• Unlocks: You can recycle Lacrima, Grades increased

Laboratory Upgrades (Level 3)

• Cost: 4000 Jewels
• Progress: Chapter 4
• Special Item: Superior Flasks (Defeat Beasts on Tenrou Island)
• Unlocks: Increased Lacrima Grades

Laboratory Upgrades (Level 4)

• Cost: 10,000 Jewels
• Progress: Chapter 7
• Special Item: Luxurious Flasks (Defeat Funky Flutterer on Great Plains)
• Unlocks: Increase Lacrima Grades

Laboratory Upgrades (Level 5)

• Progress: Final Chapter
• Special Item: Top-Grade Flasks (Defeat Satan in Capital Highway)
• Unlocks: Increased Lacrima Grades

• Special Item: Regular Planks (South East alley in Magnolia)
• Unlocks: Request Board Jobs will mostly be D Rank

Request Board Upgrades (Level 2)

• Cost: 2000 Jewels
• Progress: Chapter 2
• Special Item: Quality Planks (Defeat a Wolf on the Great Plains map. This can be a tough fight, best to go in with your special maxed)
• Unlocks: Requests will mostly be C Rank

• Special Item: Superior Planks (Defeat Golem’s on Capital Highway)
• Unlocks: Requests will be mostly B rank

• Special Item: Luxurious Planks (Defeat Siren on Akane Beach)
• Unlocks: Request Board will be mostly A rank.

• Special Item: Top-Grade Planks (Defeat Lizard Guardian in Tenrou Island)
• Unlocks: Requests will be mostly S Rank

• Unlocks: Raises HP of all characters by 2%

• Special Item: Quality Bricks (Defeat Wild Flutterer on Akane Beach)
• Unlocks: Raises HP of all characters by 4%
