It’s worth noting that there are two different types of Gun For Hire members in Far Cry 5. During the tutorial aspect of the game you are introduced to the first type of Gun for Hire, Fighters. These characters have less personality and weaker abilities than specialists, but are easier to find and have special abilities locked behind certain objectives. You can check the roster to look at your Fighters ability requirements, or to remove one should they not impress.

The other type of Gun for Hire ally is a Specialist. These are more powerful and harder to unlock than Fighters, and they also come with a bit more personality to boot. Below is a list of all the Specialists we have managed to unlock so far, including information on where they can be found and what abilities they have.
