- Character Unlock: Marth joins your squad after the mission.
- Item Unlock: There is a Soothing Sword that is hidden on the map. Look for a sparkling square.
- Item Unlock: You can get a Luck Tonic by visiting the village that is right next to where you spawn.
The Champions of Yore 1 is a battle on a long island like map. The first thing you should do is move Chrom next to Marth. There will be a dialog between Chrom and Marth and then Marth will join your party. To hold on to Marth for the rest of the campaign, all you have to do is complete this mission with him alive.
Make your way across the map to the left. Make sure to team up when it is appropriate. The enemy team does not do a lot of damage, but they will work together a lot better than the enemies leading up to this DLC chapter. It is especially important to protect Marth and the other green characters. If you have to, you can use a Recover spell on these characters to pull them back so they don’t attack when their health is low.
There is one healer that should be dealt with pretty quickly. She tends to float around the middle of the map. If you can take her out quick it will cause you a lot less grief in the long run. Make your way to the boss. Try not to let Marth or his squad face off against the boss alone, as she could kill them. Take out the boss with one of your strong characters and you will have unlocked Marth for the rest of the Fire Emblem: Awakening campaign.
