Hidden barns are a staple feature in Forza Horizon and they return in Forza Horizon 4. However, this time round things are a little different. The Barns are not available at the start of the game. Even if you discover a barn, nothing will happen. You need to reach level 3 Cross Country and progress through the main story until you are given a Barn Clue, this reveals the location of a Barn on your map. Track it down and reach the barn to get the vehicle inside.
When you locate a Barn Find you will discover a new car that returns to the garage to get repaired. It will not be available immediately. You will have to wait some time, do some missions, then it will be available to use. Some cars take a long time, others are quick. You can pay to speed up the process. Once it is available to use, head home and go to your Garage. From there, select Barn Finds and them collect your vehicle. From then, it will be ready to use as normal.
When searching areas for the exact location of a Barn Find spot, use the Drone Mode. This can traverse difficult terrain much easier and faster than a car, allowing you to track down the exact location with ease.
It’s also important to note that the Barn Find system is a little different from past games. You can only find a Barn if you have the clue for it. Driving at it without the clue won’t do anything. Some Barn Finds are also season specific.
