You can start finding these upgrades during Act 2 – The Source Of It All. While on the skiff, you need to go here on the map. There is a downed condor that is protected by robots and swarmed. Kill all of them and have Jack open up the safe in the back to get this upgrade.
Found during Act 2 – The Source Of It All. You have to follow a series of side events to get the upgrade. There are three spots you will need to visit on your map to complete it.
Inside the Train tunnel there is a large enemy you have to kill. When it is dead, go into the train car and find the notes on the floor to start the upgrade quest.
Then you have to go to these two spots on the map and clear them out. When they are cleared out, search the area for a safe or a panel you can remove to get the items you need.
Found during Chapter 4 in Act 1, you can’t miss this one. The Stim will allow you to run through fire and give you bonus armor. It is in a room near the first fire you come across.
The Shock Trap is found early in Chapter 2, while the village is being attacked. You cannot leave the room without setting the trap so you can’t miss it.
This is another upgrade you can find during Chapter 2 – The Source Of It All. You have to follow the journey of a group of people.
The quest starts here on the map and you have to then progress a bit before reaching the other two areas.
When you get to the next area, through the large Cog gate, you can go to two sub stations. Go to the east one first and read the note by the frozen body. This will give you the info you need to gain access to the northern substation on the map. Open the safe in the northern substation and you will get the Shock Trap upgrade.
You can find this during Act 2 The Source Of It All. You can find this one in the north tower, here on the map. You need Jack to open up the locked door in the back.
Act 3, Chapter 2. You need to complete the Waterworks Secondary Objectives. There are no pieces to collect pieces. You go to each location, complete the battle, and leave. Once you have completed all three, you will meet the cloaked soldier from the first location and she will give you this upgrade.
You need to complete the Scavenger Secondary Objective line that includes finding several locations and clearing them out, and grabbing Circuit Board collectibles.
1. City Ruins – In the room just before the end of the ruins, there’s a circuit board on the desk. Pick it up for the first part of this upgrade.
2. Artillery Battery – You need to complete the Hanger story mission first. Clear the enemies, head inside, up the stairs. Circuit board is on the table
3. Cargo Shipwreck – Defeat the enemies, grab the circuit board from the corpse up the stairs at the back
At the end of Act 3 Chapter 3, after you return to the airstrip to leave the area. It will be on the table next to Baird. It’s part of the story, you cannot miss it.
