Prey’s huge open-world type space station, Talos 1, is a massive environment that allows you to explore almost every crook and cranny. This can be somewhat overwhelming at first, especially as you don’t start with a map. This guide will tell you How To Get A Map In Prey very near the start of the game so you can get to exploring and finding all the optional objectives, hidden treasures and locked safes.

You can get a map as soon as you reach Talos 1 Lobby, the main area for the beginning of the game. Run around the bottom floor until you see the large entrance to the Shuttle Bay, but do not go through. As you look towards it, look to your right. At the bottom of the stairs is a Security Room entrance. Head inside.

Once inside you’ll find another locked door at the bottom of the stairs. Don’t go down the stairs, instead climb the yellow metal pipes up to your left. Follow them to get into the Security Room and activate the Utilities part on the computer to download a map.
