How To Get A Mount For Your Palico In Monster Hunter World
While not completely free to use, a Palico atop a Shamos is a sight to behold. This guide will tell you How To Get A Mount For Your Palico In Monster Hunter World so you and your furry friend can ride into battle in style.

In order to unlock the ability for your Palico to mount a Shamos you must first complete a special Grimalkyne quest. Each Grimalkyne quest you complete gives your Palico the opportunity to learn to speak to different Small Monsters, one of which is the Shamos. You need to complete the Coral Highlands Grimalkyne quest to unlock the ability. You can check our guide for that here.

This gives you a very cool Palico Gadget, a horn that gives you buffs during combat, and the ability to speak with Shamos. Once you have the ability simply find a group of Shamos and stay on the defensive. Eventually your Palico will begin to talk to one and have it join your party.

From then on, during that session at least, the Palico will randomly mount the Shamos and use its abilities in combat.

Blaine "Captain Camper" Smith is one of the original founders of Gamers Heroes. Now operating under the guise of Editor-in-Chief (purely because we felt the position was needed for public relations purposes), he's tasked with a lot of the kind of jobs that would put you to sleep at your desk. When he's not catching some Zs, you'll likely find him arguing points he knows nothing about, playing the latest rogue-like he'll never complete, or breaking something on the website that never needed fixing.
