Before getting into the basic mechanics of adding fuel to your Hyperdrive, you may way to check that your Freighter is not bugged. Currently, when attempting to Warp Jump with your Hyperdrive on the Galaxy Map within a Freighter, some players are having a bug that states “Hyperdrive has no fuel” despite having fuel.

Check your Freighter screen in the main menu. If the Hyperdrive is flashing, you need fuel, otherwise it’s bugged.

Once you have your Warp Cell find it within your inventory. It will either be in Exosuit, Starship or Freighter, depending on where you put it.
