[line style=’solid’ top=’10’ bottom=’10’ width=’100%’ height=’1′ color=’blue’] The cooking process itself in The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild is simple but not really the traditional method of doing so. You cannot simply interact with a cauldron. Get close to a cauldron, making sure it is lit. If it’s not use a torch or find fire nearby and light a stick to light the cauldron so you can cook on it.

Once it is lit get close to the cauldron and then open your inventory (with +). Once in your inventory highlight an ingredient and you will see a “Hold” option appear in the bottom right, you have to use X. Once the Hold option is enabled choose your ingredients by highlighting the ingredient and pressing the A button. You can hold up to five ingredients at once.

Once you are holding all the ingredients you want to cook, close the menu with the B button. Then walk up to the cauldron and cook with A. Cooking is important throughout the game but make sure you figure out the Old Man’s secret recipe so you can unlock the cold resistant clothing.
