Whether you’re a No Man’s Sky veteran or just picking up the game for the first time, the new character customization options are great, but can easily be missed. They are not available during character setup or at the start of the game.

There are a lot of different options varying from picking entirely new races and changing each individual aspect of their appearance, to picking a selected preset and going with that. To change your appearance or race you need to find a space station. Once you do, search the space station until you find the terminal shown above. Simply walk up to the terminal, customize your character, and you’re good to go.
