Before you can fish you must progress through the main story. Eventually your main story objective will be to meet Shenhua at Ternary Spring. On the route to Ternary Spring, you can detour to a big lake. Follow the signs from the Village Square to the Man Yuan Temple, it’s right nearby. Here you will find Huang’s Tackle, a fishing shop. You can rent a fishing rod here and even participate in a competition. The rental is for a single in-game day, unless you participate in the competition, then the rod is returned at the end of the event.Fishing itself is simple. Find a fishing spot, cast with X, then reel in with the right stick until a fish bites. Once it bites, constantly reel in with the right stick, using the left stick to move the rod when the flashing blue lights appear on the left or right side.
