Like Pokemon Go, Candy’s in Pokemon Let’s Go are very valuable items that help increase the power of your Pokemon. They provide permanent buffs to specific stats. For example, a Tough Candy provides a +1 to defense for any Pokemon under level 30, a Tough Candy XL provides the same for a Pokemon over level 30. They offer the best way to make your Pokemon stronger without needing to level, either strengthening their best attributes or lessening the negative impact of their weaknesses.

How To Get More Candy’s In Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu & Eevee

There are a number of ways to get lots more Candy in Pokemon Let’s Go. Firstly, catching Pokemon. Especially if you capture huge or tiny Pokemon, these provide far more candy than the normal versions. Getting a high Catch Combo also helps with Candy drops.

Secondly, you can send your Pokemon to the candy grinder, or the much nicer way in Pokemon Let’s Go. In your Pokemon bag select a Pokemon. You can then send this Pokemon to Professor Oak. He will give you Candy in return. The Candy you get from battles and from releasing Pokemon to Oak depends on the Pokemon type. For example, catching or releasing a Machop provides Tough Candies whereas a Pikachu would provide Quick Candy.

You can also get Pokemon specific candy that can only be given to a particular type of Pokemon. These give +1 to all stats.
