Scattered around the world map are dozens of locations that are listed as “Harvestable Location”. These unique locations provide resources if you harvest the items at that location. There are locations of Fairy Grass, Pumpkin Patches, etc. Each unique location gives different resources and experience points once harvested, so it’s a very valuable resource that you do not want to ignore.

To interact with the Harvestable Locations, you need a unique skill called World Skill: Harvest Plant. Multiple units can get this ability but one of the easiest and earliest to access is the Human Workers. These guys don’t do well on the front lines but they are fantastic at gathering resources as they have both the Harvest and Mine Ore skill.
They can be recruited early on, other options such as Necromancy are also viable, as you can make Skeleton Warriors with the World Skill: Harvest Plant ability if you have the correct items when making the undead minions. Once you have a unit with the World Skill: Harvest Plant ability, have them stand on a Harvestable Location and then use the World Skill off the ability bar at the bottom of the screen.
This usually takes several turns and the node will vanish once collected.
