How To Leave Expeditions In Monster Hunter Rise

How To Leave Expeditions In Monster Hunter Rise
Expeditions allow you to explore areas freely, without a time limit. This guide on How To Leave Expeditions In Monster Hunter Rise explains how to cancel the mission so you can leave the area, returning to town with all the materials, loot, and kills that you earned while on your Expedition.

While most quests can be completed on both Expedition maps and regular quest maps, Expeditions are the prime choice for eager explorers. As there is no time limit and no combat requirements, you can explore at your own pace. This allows you to find camps so you can unlock different spawn locations, track down special resources and ores, and find various wildlife for the different quests and side quests you’ll unlock as you progress through the game.

How To Leave Expeditions In Monster Hunter Rise
There are a lot of side quests in Monster Hunter Rise that require specific ingredients or to kill specific enemies. It’s not always efficient to do them during normal missions. You may hinder other players or struggle to find them before time runs out killing enemies. So if you want to explore freely, Expeditions are for you.

When you are in an Expedition, leaving is very simple. You simply press the + button to open the “pause” menu. It doesn’t actually pass the game though so be careful if there are threats nearby. Then press R once to go to the Quests option. You will then see “Complete Quest” highlighted in yellow. Select that option and you can return to the village. You will keep all of the items and materials that you’ve gathered

  • Expeditions are a great way to explore, harvesting rare and valuable resources on the way
  • Leaving Expeditions keeps all of your materials and items you earned during the Expedition
  • To leave, press the + button, then press R, and then select Complete Quest
