How To Load The Broadcast Tape In Fallout 76 Wastelanders
The Wastelanders update for Fallout 76 is now available. This guide on How To Load The Broadcast Tape In Fallout 76 Wastelanders covers one of the earlier objectives in the starting quest Hunter for Hire, where you’re asked to build a tower and then insert a Broadcast Tape.
Wastelanders finally introduces NPC’s to the wide world of Fallout 76 and with them, a ton of new quests and activities to complete. One such quest, Hunter for Hire, has you laying a cunning trap for some bandits using a fake sign and a Broadcast Tape. Once you have built the sign for Hunter for Hire, the objective reads “Load Broadcast Tape into a Radio Tower and activate the connection”.

Veterans of the game will likely not struggle with this quest but for returning players, this can definitely be confusing. The sign you have built is not a radio tower. The small yellow box at the bottom is simply something to make the sign look nice. You have to load the Broadcast Tape into a Radio Tower.
You are looking for an actual Radio Tower. There are many scattered across the map. Once you have built your C.A.M.P and created the sign, the objective tells you to load the Broadcast Tape. At this point, open your map. You should see an updated quest marker that directs you to a Radio Tower.
It’s unlikely that it will be the same Radio Tower shown in the image above as the Radio Tower it sends you to is related to the location of your C.A.M.P. Simply open your map and look for the nearest Radio Tower icon and you should see the quest icon there informing you of your next objective.
