How To Make Chromatic Metal In No Man’s Sky Next

Chromatic Metal in No Man’s Sky is required to start your base building operations. If you play through as a new character you are taught how to get it but if you load an old save you might be clueless. Check out this guide to find out how to make Chromatic Metal in No Man’s Sky Next.

How To Make Chromatic Metal In No Man’s Sky Next

So the first thing you will need to get some Chromatic Metal is a Portable Refiner. This is built with Oxygen and Metal Plating and can be placed almost anywhere. When that is down you will need to make sure you have the Terrain Manipulator tool so you can farm large resource nodes on planets. Currently there are only four metals that can be used to crate Chromatic Metal. You will need either Copper, Cadmium, Emeril or Indium. With any of those, go to your Portable Refiner and place the metal in the Input section. From there make sure you fuel it up with Carbon or any other fuel and start it up. It will take some time but when it finished you can retrieve the Chromatic Metal from the Refiner.

If you are having trouble finding the nodes use you Analysis Visor to find them scattered on the planets. If it isn’t the material you are looking for you might have to switch planets.
