In Octopath Traveler you will sometimes run into locked chests. You are told that you need a certain ability to open these chests but not told who has it. Check out this guide to find out how to open locked chests in Octopath Traveler.
How To Open Locked Chests In Octopath Traveler
The character you need to open locked chests is Therion the thief. If you start with him then you will be good to go right away. If you don’t, be can be found in the Cliftlands in Bolderfall. To get him to join your party you will need to do his first chapter and complete it. He can unlock chests right away so you can go to all the ones you might have missed already and open them up after he is in your party. Don’t forget to fast travel back to other towns that have locked chests, there can be rare items or easy money to be found inside of them. So far he has been able to open all the chests I have come across. If I find ones that he can’t open, I will update the guide then.
