How To Open Locked Containers In Borderlands 3

How To Open Locked Containers In Borderlands 3
There are two types of locked containers in Borderlands 3. This guide on How To Open Locked Containers In Borderlands 3 explains how you open the large, more ornate looking containers with the T symbol on the front, they are much larger locked containers than the others.

This guide is specifically for the container featured in the image above. There are other locked containers also. Some of these are story related, or side mission related, others may require some sort of key. We’ll be sure to update once we figure out how to unlock all containers.

How To Open Locked Containers In Borderlands 3

The locked containers, the large more ornate ones, can only be unlocked by completing Challenges. For example, The Drought Crew Challenges has you searching for several Typhon Logs. Once you have found all of the Typhon Logs you get the Dead Drop Crew Challenge unlocked on your map.

That’s what these large containers are for. They are the source of the Dead Drops. You can discover them as you explore but unfortunately, you cannot open them without finding the Typhon Logs first.

That’s how to open some of the locked containers in Borderlands 3.

Blaine Smith

Blaine "Captain Camper" Smith is one of the original founders of Gamers Heroes. Now operating under the guise of Editor-in-Chief (purely because we felt the position was needed for public relations purposes), he's tasked with a lot of the kind of jobs that would put you to sleep at your desk. When he's not catching some Zs, you'll likely find him arguing points he knows nothing about, playing the latest rogue-like he'll never complete, or breaking something on the website that never needed fixing.
