Once you’ve beat the first boss you need to travel to the next biome, the Black Forest. Here you will find Copper & Tin. Once you harvest these materials you will unlock the Kiln and Smelter. Build the Kiln and Smelter (you may need some Surtling cores). Once these are built, you will unlock the Forge Table. Build the Forge table, smelt your first Bronze bar, and unlock the Cultivator.
- Beat the first boss
- Progress to the Black Forest
- Farm Copper & Tin
- Build the Kiln and Smelter
- Smelt Tin and Copper to unlock the Forge table
- Craft the Forge table to unlock access to bronze tools
- Craft the Cultivator
Once you have the Cultivator built, simply equip it and ensure you have any seeds in your inventory. You first need to prepare the land, this works much like flattening the land with the hoe. You can then plant seeds. Be careful not to plant them too close together, or they will not grow. You can see, in the image at the top of this post, some of them are brown and dark – this indicates that they do not have enough room to grow.
