The process of unlocking both areas is very much the same. You need to find huge slimes that are stationary. They don’t jump around and change during the day and night like the rest of the slimes. These are static slimes that you can interact with in order to unlock the additional areas in Slime Rancher 2.
How To Reach & Unlock Other Islands In Slime Rancher 2
If you want to unlock Starlight Strand, head to this location on the map. There’s a large slime here blocking a geyser. Approach it and highlight it with your reticle. It will tell you the foods that it likes. You need to feed the huge slime the foods it desires. Once you feed it 10-15 pieces, it will explode. Revealing the geyser that you can use to shoot up onto a higher ledge and then interact with the device there to clear the path to Starlight Strand.
Likewise at this location, there’s another giant slime blocking the path ahead. Feed the slime until it vanishes and then interact with the device.
