How To Solve Merlin Trials With The Stone Cube-Like Dice In Hogwarts Legacy

The stone-like dice-shaped Merlin Trials are among the most confusing. In this guide on How To Solve Merlin Trials With The Stone Cube-Like Dice In Hogwarts Legacy we’ll explain how you can solve these trials as you can find them very early on but cannot complete them until much later.

There are many Merlin Trial puzzles scattered around the world map in Hogwarts Legacy. While there are many variations, it’s finite. This means that there will be identical Merlin Trial challenges in multiple locations. As such, even if this location is not the same location you have for this puzzle in the game, the solution will always be the same. So as long as you’re looking at the same puzzle mechanics, such as the pillars, orbs, or cubes, you will be able to find the solution by watching another version of the same trial.

How To Solve Merlin Trials With The Stone Cube-Like Dice In Hogwarts Legacy

The reason this particular Merlin Trial is so challenging is that you need a particular spell, Flipendo to be precise. To unlock the Flipendo spell you need to have progressed far enough into the story to have Professor Garlicks Assignments, you must also complete the first two assignments from Professor Garlick. Once you complete the second assignment you can return to Professor Garlick to learn the spell Flipendo.

Once you have the spell you need to check the engravings on the pillars and then the dice-like stone on top. You need to use the Flipendo spell to flip the stone dice until the engravings on the dice match the engravings on the pillar below. It can take a bit of work but it’s not too difficult once you find one or two sides that match up.
