When you first spawn in, you will be dropped by the crow into an area with Standing Stones. These special stones represent the bosses you must kill if you hope to go to Valhalla. Interact with the Deer Standing Stone and it will reveal the location of the boss on your map. Go prepared. Make sure you have a full meal (three unique pieces of food) and bring with you a weapon, ideally a knife, and a shield. The Knife’s alternative attack is very powerful.
How To Summon The First Boss In Valheim
Before you’re able to summon the boss at the Mystical Alter, you will need to kill Deer for some Deer Trophies. You will need at least two Deer Trophies to summon the first boss. Deer are fast and can escape quickly. If you don’t have a bow built yet, you can use Sneak (left control) to sneak up behind them and kill them in one shot. It’s not required, but it’s also a good idea to upgrade your Workbench first, so that you can craft the pickaxe once you kill the boss.
Once you have the Deer Trophies, put them on your hotbar or interact with the Mystical Alter to summon the first boss.
