Fast travel in Valheim is an option but it is limited in what it can achieve. This guide on How To Teleport In Valheim will explain the process and limitations behind learning to teleport so that you’re able to traverse huge distances in the blink of an eye, with only one restriction.
Before you concern yourself with teleporting, you need to prepare your destination. When you Teleport, you are immediately returned to your currently linked portal. You can only go between two portals at a time, so you need to make sure that your home base is registered correctly and that you going through the correct portal. There is also one restriction, not all materials can be teleported with you.
How To Teleport In Valheim
While most common ingredients will accompany you when you teleport, more valuable materials will not. Certain ores and precious minerals will not teleport with you, and will be lost if they are in your inventory when you teleport. Look in your inventory. Items that feature a small icon next to the picture, with a red line through it, tells you that item in particular will not accompany you if you teleport.
Unlocking the ability to teleport requires you to build Portals, which can take some time. You need to defeat the first boss and then the crow will tell you about the Black Forest biome. In the Forest you will find skeletons guarding entrances to small dungeons. Inside these dungeons are Surtling Cores. You will need 10x Greydwarf Eyes, 25x Fine Wood, and 2 Surtling Cores – the latter being the only real challenging ingredient to find.
