How To Fast Travel In Death Stranding
Death Stranding features wide open spaces, difficult terrain, and a lot of walking. In this guide we discuss How To Unlock Fast Travel In Death Stranding, a mechanic that lets you instantly travel from one location to another, once you have unlocked fast travel.

As with most games, fast travel is not something you can use at will, there are restrictions in place. You can fast travel to any distribution center or safe house that you have previously added to the Chiral Network. You cannot use it to reach new areas. Also, any cargo you are carrying will be placed in Private Storage at your location prior to fast traveling.

Fast Travel is unlocked through part of the story. Once unlocked, you can use the umbrella in your private room to fast travel to other distribution centers or safe locations. Anywhere you have previously linked to the Chiral Network will work fine.

You unlock fast travel through story progression. Once you cross the sea, using Fragile’s boat, you will reach a new location. After a brief cut-scene in the new distribution center, Fragile will explain here teleportation ability and offer to use it to aid you with your mission.

I don’t want to be too precise to avoid spoilers, but it’s very shortly after you reach the port.
