How To Unlock Fast Travel In Red Dead Redemption 2
There are three main forms of Fast Travel in Red Dead 2. The first method available to you is by train. There are train stations scattered throughout the game. Most in towns and settlements, others a little more on the outskirts. You can speak with the Clerk at the station, usually a post office, and pay them to fast travel to another station on the map. It can be quite expensive and it’s not ideal, as you still have to get to a station in order to fast travel. Then there’s the second, faster method. You can use the Stagecoach. These are marked on the map by small signposts. They are scattered throughout but sadly, much like taking the train, you have to reach one to be able to fast travel to another location. The Stagecoach becomes available toward the end of Chapter 2.
If you can see the signposts but they are grey and have a lock icon on them, you may need to pay your bounty. You can do this at any post office.
Lastly, there is an upgrade you can buy for Arthur’s Lodgings at the camp. Interact with the Ledger and purchase the map upgrade for $325. This will allow you to Fast Travel to past destinations from Arthur’s sleeping area at the camp. The map is found on the side of the nearby wagon.
