How To Unlock The Tool Ring In Animal Crossing New Horizons
In order to unlock the Tool Ring, you will have to unlock the ability to Redeem Nook Miles at the Nook Stop. This unlocks after you pay of your first 5000 Nook Miles for your tent. When it is open, go over to the terminal and select Redeem Nook Miles. This will open a screen where you can spend your Nook Miles on various items and gear. Scroll down to the Tool Ring and it will run you 800 points, but is more than worth it to save time.
Another good option is the improved tools recipes, but your Iron supply is probably low at this point so you won’t be able to make any. Once you have the Tool Ring unlocked, you can switch tools quickly by using the up arrow on the D-pad when you are outside. It won’t work inside, so don’t freak out if you try it inside of Nook’s Tent. You can take items off and add news ones as you see fit, but it will also fill itself up with items if you have them in your inventory. You don’t need the umbrella on there if you are looking to make room, you can manually select the umbrella easily enough when it is raining. As you unlock more tools this will fill up and save you a ton of time down the road.
