During Adventure Mode you find lots of cool items. This guide will explain How To Use Adventure Mode Items In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as although you find them during battles in Adventure Mode, you are not actually able to use them during Adventure Mode. When you are fighting in Adventure Mode, especially if you use weaker teams for better rewards, you will receive a flurry of different items.
There’s Gold, Spirit Points, Spirits, all of these can be used inside Adventure Mode itself. However, there is a different type of item, Support Items. You can check your inventory in Adventure Mode by bringing up the menu, selecting options, going to Inventory and then selecting items. This will show all the different Support Items you have.

There’s many different types of Support Items. Some add special effects to battles, such as reducing incoming damage, or forcing the enemy to start on 50% damage. There are also Refresh Board items, these let you Refresh the Spirit Board to force new Spirits to appear.To use items you find in Adventure Mode, you need to exit Adventure Mode and go into the Spirits option from the main menu. From there go to the Spirit Board. On the Spirit Board you can press Y to use Board Items. These are the Board Items. These let you Refresh, Change, do all sorts to the different Fighters that appear.
Once you have selected a challenge, select party. At the bottom of the screen, you will see a small suitcase icon. These is where you select what items to take into the battle.
